Author(s):
P.J. Barry
Jumping back and forth in time, the play introduces Kate Driscoll and Jim Conroy as teenage dance partners and as adults who meet again in the 1980s. Jim, divorced father of two children, has been eking out a living as an actor and is about to embark on a new enterprise as a partner in a restaurant. Kate is stuck in a comfortable but dull marriage. When they rekindle their friendship, Kate learns that the romantic ideal of her adolescence is gay. Can she accept it?
